MOLTON BROWN
Live illustration for Molton Brown by Marcella Wylie, hand painting perfume bottles and hosted by Clarendon Fine Art
I was recently invited by Molton Brown to bring a unique artistic touch to a special event at Clarendon Fine Art in Edinburgh’s St James Quarter. A beautiful evening that celebrated both perfume and creativity in equal measure.
The event was held in honour of Mesmerising Oudh Accord & Gold, one of Molton Brown’s most opulent and rich fragrances, and formed part of their inspiring Artist of Note campaign.
My role was to live illustrate and hand paint bespoke artwork directly onto fragrance bottles, creating personal keepsakes for each guest. It was a wonderfully interactive experience blending the art of scent with the art of illustration in real time, surrounded by original artwork and the buzz of a warm, creative crowd.
There’s something really special about live painting; it is immediate, thoughtful, completely bespoke and one of a kind. It was a joy to meet each guest, hear their reactions, and create something meaningful for them to take home.
The team at Molton Brown (special thank you to Genna and Murray) and Clarendon Fine Art were a dream to collaborate with. I am incredibly proud to have played a part in this imaginative, immersive event. One that encouraged everyone involved to think outside the box.
